Spinifex Elder Debbie Hansen speaks about how Spinifex people from the Great Victoria Desert were displaced and moved to Cundalee mission, due to Maralinga tests in the 1950s and 1960s. Through the story, she explains the importance of Country and how Spinifex people eventually moved back to their homelands, where they felt proud. Being back on Country is where they can look after Tjukurpa (Dreamtime story and Law), to keep knowledge strong for future generations.
